ENGR Kayode Ojo praises president Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) on June 12
*Engineer Kayode Olubunmi Ojo praises President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) on June 12*
History of democracy in Nigeria cannot be completed without June 12.
Many paid the price with Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola being the sacrificial lamb for Nigeria. May their souls continue to rest with the Lord
The awful event remains fresh in our memories where Nigerians spoke and acted with one voice for the first time after independence without religious, language or ethnocentric barrier. But unfortunately, it became a wishful thought.
*Is Nigeria worth dying for?*
Higher percentage of Nigerians believes *NO* for an answer.
*Is the narrative changing?*
Yes!!!
After June 12, 1993, we have had presidents in Nigeria. But have we gotten that courageous leader who could reconnect us back to that dreamed but truncated journey? *NO*
All thanks to the Almighty Who has blessed Nigeria this time with the great and visionary leader of leaders. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT).
A man who was actively part of the struggle.
A man who risked his life to the point of death.
He was exiled.
On exile, he pushed for a better coordination and future realization of his dream.
A man who submitted all he had to free Nigeria from enslavement of the military.
A man with a Renewed Hope Agenda.
A man of vision for a new Nigeria.
He's changing the narratives.
He's giving us a new reorientation.
He's refocusing our beliefs in Nigeria.
He's giving us that hope.
He's uniting us.
He's building Nigeria.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is laying a very good foundation and it is incumbent on us to support through his Renewed Hope Agenda.
Today, I have no doubt that in my mind that late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola and all past heroes and heroins who paid the ultimate price with their lives to see emergence of a new Nigeria will be happy with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a leader who did not allowed their labours to go in vain.
It is not enough to celebrate June 12 but to keep the vision of these past heroes and heroins through reflection on our journey as a people. Where we started and our dreams for a new Nigeria.
I use this medium to greet and facilitate with Nigerians for their unflinching support on Renewed Hope Agenda of the president. To the National Assembly, your moves to formally institutionalize June 12 is highly appreciated and commendable. Also to Ekitians, as we prepare for 2026; let's be purposefully united for the betterment of our dear state.
God bless Nigeria.
*Signed*
Engineer Kayode Olubunmi Ojo
