Engr. Kayode Ojo condemns the Gruesome Killings of Two Ekiti Monarchs

Its a rude shock to learn about the needless murder of Ekiti monarchs. Yesterday gruesome murder of these renowned "Kabiesis" called for sober reflection among all and sundry and the need to properly rethink Ekiti security architecture.

While commiserating with the Families of these Obas and the people of their respective towns, I advise our people not to be cowed by this reckless killing but to ensure vigilance and prompt Information is passed to the relevant authority in case any suspicious activity is noticed in our immediate environment.

The kidnapping of school pupils in Emure LGA could have been avoided with our collective concerns and efforts. It's now time for everyone to embrace the mantra "if you see something, say Something". Security is our collective responsibility. To keep our society safe and free from kidnapping and killings requires sharing of relevant information with the right authority. The present situation in our dear State calls for alertness and commitment to be active in every decent effort to secure our state from killers.

I pray to God that yesterday killings and kidnapping would be the last in the state. I sympathize with the Council of Ekiti Obas for the sudden demise of their two members. My heartfelt Condolences to the families of the fallen Obas and people in their communities!

Thank you.
