Leaders who are not transparent can create an environment of fear and mistrust, Followers may feel they cannot trust their leader, leading to conflict and division, Leaders need to be aware of how others perceive their words and actions, If there is a perception of secrecy or lack of transparency, it can damage the relationship between the leader and the followers..
